Therapy is an incredible opportunity to care for yourself, as well as a way to satisfy the very human need to be understood.
While you’ve made it through many difficult situations alone (most likely at a cost), it can be an especially healing process to do so with someone else. We will make meaning from your untidy and beautiful life experiences, using what we learn together to grow your capacity to relate differently to (and at times overcome) the challenges in your life. We will also examine the implicit and explicit rules of the cultures and systems you’ve been a part of. When you understand the forces at play, it helps to create space between you and your problems and makes room to refocus on your values and dreams for a life well-lived.
There are times when it’s too much to suffer alone, and I’m here to help. I will assist you with increasing your everyday awareness and collaborating with you to create a path forward.
Perhaps you feel stuck or disillusioned with your creative practice, are overwhelmed with a life transition or burnout, or want help with your romantic relationship(s) and/or generally communicating with others. Anxiety, depression, grief/loss and/or trauma may be uprooting your life and you want help with getting grounded. Maybe you’re suffering through low self-esteem, body image issues, or cultural and systemic oppression. It could be you’re struggling with chronic illness, substance abuse, the stress of parenting or infertility, or the expectations of others. It’s also possible that you’re simply hoping to live more intentionally and seeking balance. Whether you’re looking for guidance and support within a challenging situation or are determined to move in an entirely different direction, I look forward to the opportunity to work together and help you realize your goals.
